MY STORY

Gisele Cabasa

Ashtanga • Rocket® (Trainer Level 3) • Vinyasa • Yin Teacher • Handstand Coach • AcroYoga

Gisele teaches Ashtanga, Rocket®, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Handstands and AcroYoga. Having studied with renowned teachers in India, Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Australia, she brings a diverse and well-rounded perspective to her teaching, rooted in traditional yoga practices and a continued exploration of movement.

Her personal practice is at the heart of her teaching. She practices Ashtanga daily, alongside Vinyasa, Rocket®, and Yin, and dedicates time to handstands, inversions, and climbing. Meditation is a non-negotable part of her daily practice, and she has completed Vipassana meditation retreats.

Her classes are dynamic and intentional, with breath at the centre of her teaching. She encourages students to move with their breath, creating a deeper connection between body and mind while developing strength, awareness, alignment, and technique. Her playful approach invites students to explore movement, challenge their perceived limitations, and discover what they are capable of.

Gisele believes every class should offer an opportunity to learn something new. Alongside the physical practice, she weaves workshop-style moments into her classes to help students better understand their bodies, the techniques they are exploring, and the traditions behind the practice. She creates an inclusive space where students can build confidence, discipline, and curiosity through consistent practice.

Beyond the studio, Gisele shares her practice through yoga retreats around the world and is deeply involved in growing the Rocket® Yoga community in Australia. She runs Rocket® Yoga trainings and events, creating spaces for practitioners and teachers to connect, learn, and deepen their practice.

At the heart of her teaching is a simple belief: there is already more strength, potential, and possibility within us than we often realise. Her goal is to help students uncover that potential, reminding them that they can go further than they think — on and off the mat.

Check here the class styles and options to practice with me :)

Looking forward to seeing you all on the mat!

MY PRACTICE

My personal yoga practice is varied, curious, and deeply rooted in consistency. Most mornings begin with meditation, pranayama, and journaling — practices that help me create space, settle the mind, and set the tone for the day.

My physical practice moves between the traditional sequences of Ashtanga Primary and Intermediate, the strength and playfulness of Rocket®, and the fluidity of Vinyasa. I also love practicing alongside other teachers and friends in Melbourne, and returning to the grounding, nourishing stillness of Yin.

For me, yoga extends far beyond the mat. It influences the way I move, think, connect, and experience the world. I’m fascinated by the body’s ability to adapt and the mind’s ability to expand through practice.

Outside of yoga, I find that same sense of exploration through handstands, acroyoga, bouldering, hiking, and dancing. I also explore the devotional side of yoga through Bhakti practice, chanting, and reading.

At the heart of it all is a love for movement, learning, travel, and discovering new places, people, and perspectives. I’m always curious about what the next practice — or the next adventure — might reveal.
